About us

The pest control that shows you the report.

Coastline has treated homes and businesses across the Gold Coast since 2012. In that time we have learned the thing people actually want is not a lower number, it is a guarantee they can trust. So we built the business around writing everything down.

Most pest control goes wrong before anyone turns up. A price over the phone with no inspection. A heavy spray that hits what you can see and misses where they live. A "100% guarantee" that turns into "wait six weeks" the moment the cockroaches come back. By the time the homeowner realises, the operator has the cash and the phone stops getting answered.

Coastline started in 2012 with a simple idea: write the job down so nothing can be hidden. We inspect first, name the pest and the APVMA-registered product on the report, write the re-entry time, and state the warranty term with its exact trigger. Put next to a phone price, ours does not look dearer. It looks complete. That is usually the whole conversation.

You cannot inspect a guarantee after the fact. So we make it something you can read on the report instead, before you pay, not after it fails.

Today we cover general pests, rodents, termite inspections and management, pre-purchase timber pest reports and commercial work, across the Gold Coast, with no travel surcharge within 35km of Burleigh Heads.

How we work

Three things we won’t compromise on.

We inspect before we quote

The single biggest red flag in this trade is a price over the phone, sight unseen. We come out, identify the actual pest and the conditions feeding it, and quote from what we find. It is the part the cheap operators skip, and the part that decides whether the treatment actually works.

The right service, not the biggest one

Sometimes the honest answer is a single general treatment, not a barrier. We will tell you which one you actually need, even when it is the smaller job, because a homeowner who trusts the first report is the one who calls us back next year.

Everything in writing

An itemised report: the pest named, the APVMA-registered product named, the re-entry time, and the warranty term with its exact re-service trigger. No cash-only handshake, no "100% guarantee" that disappears when the pests come back.

The right fit

Who we’re the right pest controller for, and who we’re not.

We’d rather lose a job to a fairer fit than win one we’ll both regret. Nathan’s honest about who Coastline suits.

If you want the cheapest phone price on the coast, we are probably not your operator. If you want an inspection first, a report that names the product and the warranty, and a treatment that actually holds, that is the whole business.

Credentials

Licensed, insured, accredited, and happy to prove it.

Pest control is one of the few trades where a second licence genuinely separates the operators: the QBCC termite licence on top of the pest licence.

Who you’re dealing with

A small crew, not a call centre.

Nathan Cousins

Founder & lead technician

Fifteen years on the tools across the Gold Coast, the last several watching homeowners get burned by a phone quote, a heavy spray and a guarantee that vanished the moment the pests came back. Started Coastline in 2012 to do it the other way: inspect first, name the product on the report, and write down exactly what happens if it does not work.

“I would rather lose the job to an honest inspection than win it with a phone price I cannot stand behind. The customers I keep are the ones who read the report and saw we wrote the guarantee down.”
Sixty seconds with Nathan, why he started Coastline, and the one thing he won’t put his name to.

Priya Naidu

Timber pest specialist

Runs the termite inspections and the AS 3660 barrier work. Reads a sub-floor and a moisture map the way most people read a street sign, and writes the timber-pest report a pre-purchase buyer actually needs.

Jesse Holloway

Service coordinator

Books the inspections, builds the service reports and runs the warranty re-services. The reason you get a call or text back within a business day, and the reason nobody here waits six weeks.

How it runs

What happens from first call to warranty.

1

Inspection + itemised report

We come out, identify the pest, the entry points and the conditions feeding it, then quote from what we actually find. Not a phone price.

2

The treatment plan

The pest and its severity, the APVMA-registered product and where it goes, the re-entry time and the warranty, all written on the report you keep.

3

Booking, in writing

We confirm the date, the safety steps and the price on letterhead. No surprise call-out fees, no upsell sprung on the day.

4

Treatment day

Interior and exterior treated as planned, child and pet areas handled with care, food surfaces and pet bowls respected and covered.

5

Re-entry + aftercare

The exact drying time before it is safe to go back in, what to wipe and what to leave, and how long before the treatment fully works.

6

Warranty + next inspection

The warranty term and the exact re-service trigger, your certificate, and an honest re-treat date, usually six to twelve months out.
