General Pest Treatment

Cockroaches, ants, spiders and silverfish are the everyday pests, and the everyday rip-off: a phone price, a heavy spray, and a vague guarantee. We inspect first, treat inside and out, name the product on your report, and write down exactly what happens if they come back.

Safe for kids and pets

What the safety actually comes down to.

Safe for kids & pets, the real answer

Once it’s dry, treated areas are safe again. We tell you the exact re-entry time, on the report, before we start.
How we report it

The same 7 lines, every time.

Whatever the pest, your report splits the job the same honest way, so you can see exactly what you’re paying for.

The 7-line quote
  1. 1 Inspection first. We inspect the property and identify the actual pest, the entry points and the conditions feeding it, before we quote. Never a price over the phone.
  2. 2 Pest + severity named. What you have, how established it is and where it is active, written on the report. Not "general spray, she’ll be right".
  3. 3 Product named + APVMA reg. The exact APVMA-registered product and where it goes, named on the report. Child and pet safe once it has dried.
  4. 4 Re-entry + safety window. The exact drying and re-entry time, usually two to four hours, and what to wipe and what to leave afterwards.
  5. 5 Warranty term + re-service trigger. The warranty term and the exact trigger: active inside the term and we re-treat free, no six-week wait, no excuses.
  6. 6 Timber-pest check. Termites and timber pests flagged as their own line, because home insurance does not cover termite damage. An AS 4349.3 inspection or AS 3660 barrier if you need one.
  7. 7 Certificate + next inspection. The record of products applied, your certificate, and the honest re-treat date, most homes every six to twelve months.
If a quote doesn’t show these lines, you can’t compare it, and you don’t know what’s been cut.

Questions, answered

General Pest Treatment, common questions.

How much does a general pest treatment cost? +
For a typical three to four bedroom Gold Coast home, a general treatment is usually $180 to $350 depending on the pest, the severity and the property. Anything advertised under about $120 is the phone-quote, heavy-spray end we tell people to be wary of, because the corners get cut where you cannot see them. The honest answer is that the price comes from the inspection, not a price list.
Is it safe for my kids and pets? +
Yes, once it has dried. We use APVMA-registered products applied as directed, and the only real rule is to keep children and pets off treated surfaces until they are dry, usually two to four hours. We name the exact product on your report and tell you the re-entry time before we start, not as an afterthought.
How long does a treatment last? +
A general treatment typically holds for six to twelve months depending on the pest, the season and how exposed your home is to gardens and bushland. Coastal humidity and the warmer months push pressure up. We give you an honest re-treat date on the report rather than pretending one spray lasts forever.
What happens if the pests come back? +
That is exactly what the warranty is for, and we write the trigger down. If the treated pest is active again inside the warranty term, we come back and re-treat at no charge. No six-week wait, no being told to call back later. The term and the trigger are on your report before you pay.
Should I just use a supermarket spray instead? +
For one or two stray ants, a supermarket product is fine. For an actual infestation it usually is not, because the spray kills what you can see and misses the harbourage and the trail. A professional treatment targets where they live and breed, and it comes with a warranty a can of spray never will. We will tell you honestly if your problem is small enough to handle yourself.
Do I have to leave the house during the treatment? +
For a standard treatment, usually not for long. We treat room by room and the main step is staying off the treated surfaces until they dry, around two to four hours. We will walk you through which areas to keep clear and for how long, and cover food surfaces and pet bowls before we start.
