Bed Bugs control

Bed bugs are one of the hardest pests to clear and one of the easiest to make worse with the wrong approach. They hide in seams, frames and skirting, they resist many products, and a half treatment just scatters them to the next room. Ours is a thorough, usually multi-visit, treatment, and we’re straight about what it takes.

Signs you have them

How to tell it’s bed bugs.

  • Itchy bites in lines or clusters, often on arms and shoulders
  • Small blood spots or dark specks on sheets and the mattress seam
  • Live bugs (apple-seed sized) in mattress seams, bed frames and skirting
  • A sweet, musty smell in heavy infestations
How we treat it

Our approach to bed bugs.

We inspect to find every harbourage, then treat with a combination of methods (residual and, where appropriate, steam or targeted application) across the mattress, frame, skirting and surrounds. Bed bugs almost always need a follow-up to catch newly hatched bugs, so we plan for it rather than pretend one visit will do it.

Safety: APVMA-registered products, applied with care around sleeping areas and following strict re-entry guidance. We give you clear preparation steps before each visit, which make a big difference to the result.

Bed Bugs is treated as part of our general pest treatment service.

Questions, answered

Bed Bugs, common questions.

Can you get rid of bed bugs in one treatment? +
Honestly, rarely. Bed bug eggs survive many treatments, so a second visit a couple of weeks later to catch the newly hatched bugs is almost always needed. Anyone promising a guaranteed one-visit fix is overselling it. We plan the follow-up in from the start.
Do I have to throw out my mattress? +
Usually not. Most mattresses can be treated and kept, sometimes with an encasement afterwards. We’ll tell you honestly if an item is too far gone, but the goal is to treat, not to make you replace everything.
How do I prepare for the treatment? +
Preparation is a big part of success: laundering bedding on hot, reducing clutter, and not moving items between rooms (which spreads them). We give you a specific prep checklist before we come, because a well-prepared room treats far better.
