Cockroaches control

A cockroach you see in daylight usually means a lot more you don’t. They breed fast and hide in warm, moist harbourage, behind the dishwasher, in the roof void, under the sink, so a surface spray that misses the harbourage just kills the scouts. We inspect, find where they live, and treat there.

Signs you have them

How to tell it’s cockroaches.

  • Roaches seen at night, or in daylight (a sign of heavy activity)
  • Droppings like ground pepper or coffee in cupboards
  • A musty, oily smell in the kitchen
  • Egg cases (oothecae) behind appliances
How we treat it

Our approach to cockroaches.

We identify the species (German cockroaches behave very differently to the larger Americans), find the harbourage, and treat it with an APVMA-registered gel bait and residual, targeted at where they breed rather than blasting the whole house. The warranty trigger is on your report: active inside the term and we re-treat free.

Safety: APVMA-registered products, child and pet safe once dry (usually two to four hours). Baits are placed out of reach. We tell you the re-entry time before we start.

Cockroaches is treated as part of our general pest treatment service.

Questions, answered

Cockroaches, common questions.

Why do cockroaches keep coming back after I spray? +
Because a supermarket surface spray kills what it touches and misses the harbourage, the warm moist void where they actually live and breed. The survivors and the eggs repopulate within weeks. A professional treatment targets the harbourage with gel bait and residual, which is what breaks the cycle.
Are German cockroaches harder to get rid of? +
Yes. German cockroaches breed faster, stay indoors near food and warmth, and resist some products, so they usually need a targeted baiting program rather than a one-off spray. We identify the species on the inspection because the treatment is genuinely different.
How long until they’re gone? +
You should see a sharp drop within a few days and control within a couple of weeks as the bait works through the population. Heavy German cockroach infestations sometimes need a follow-up, which we’ll tell you about up front rather than after.
