Silverfish control
Silverfish don’t bite, but they’ll quietly ruin books, photos, stored clothes and boxed paper, and they thrive in the humid coastal climate. They live in dark, undisturbed voids, so the treatment that works is one that reaches the roof void, wall cavities and cupboard backs, not just a surface spray.
How to tell it’s silverfish.
- →Silvery, fish-shaped insects in cupboards, bookshelves or the bathroom
- →Yellow stains, scales or small holes on paper, books and fabric
- →Activity in stored boxes, especially paper and cardboard
- →More of them through humid months
Our approach to silverfish.
We treat the voids and harbourage where silverfish breed, the roof void, wall cavities, cupboard backs and storage areas, with a residual and, where useful, a dust into the cavities. Reducing humidity and clutter in storage areas is the long-term half of it, which we’ll talk through.
Silverfish is treated as part of our general pest treatment service.
